7 Ways to Celebrate Father’s Day Virtually with Tea

Even if you can’t be in the same room as Dad, you can still share a cuppa together. Here are seven ways to celebrate him on his special day.

1. Share a Tall One… of Tea.

Infuse a bottle of spirits with tea for yourself and send one to Dad so you can toast together. It’s easy and tasty to add tea to alcohol or simple syrup for a fun new twist on cocktails and mocktails. Be sure to check with your state for guidelines on shipping alcohol.

Send our wine-inspired teas to share the flavor of spirits without the alcohol. Choose from Sonoma Sunrise white teaSparkling Strawberry Wine fruit tisane, or Mulled Wine Spice tisane.

2. Call with the Whole Family.

Share a sip with Dad via video. Set a time with the whole family and encourage them to try out their equipment in a video chat with you beforehand.

If Dad doesn’t have a video-enabled device, ship him one with the video conferencing software already installed and walk him through a trial call before the big day. Check out our Virtual Tea Party blog post for more tips on hosting a group chat.

3. Ice Dad’s Tea in a Flash.

iced tea in just a few minutes.

Father’s Day lands solidly in Iced Tea Season, but that doesn’t always mean he’s brewing tea and stashing it in the fridge for those sweaty afternoons. Our Takeya Flash Chill Iced Tea Pitcher enables you to make up to 1/2 gallon of iced tea in just a few minutes.

4. Treat Dad Every Month.

If your dad loves variety, our Tea of the Month subscriptions are just what he needs. Each month we ship two 2-ounce selections of teas or herbal infusions best suited for the season. Choose from Green Tea, Caffeine-Free, Iced Tea, or World Tea in 3-month, 6-month, or one year durations.

5. Create a Grilling with Tea Kit.

The complexity of tea makes it an ideal ingredient for marinades and rubs. We highly recommend Lapsang Souchong black tea. It’s roasted over a pine fire for a natural smoky flavor. It works great in our smoky beef short rib recipe.

For lighter flavors, Dad can infuse shrimp and veggie skewers with Moroccan Mint green tea before they go on the grill.

6. Give Dad Tea on the Go.

If your dad is constantly moving, this insulated tea press will help keep him going. This 15-ounce tea press is made of stainless steel and available in several colors.

7. Let Dad Do the Driving.

If you don’t have time to stop by the store to pick something up, remember we can always mail a gift card to be used in our Omaha store, or you can choose an online-only gift certificate for dads out of state.
