Is world domination your ultimate goal? Do you enjoy great company and a delicious cup of tea when you take a break from scheming? If this sounds like you, then it’s time to start brushing up on your evil laugh for the Tea Smith’s Villains Tea!
We’ll be dishing about our do-gooder arch nemeses and hatching nefarious plots on the weekend before Halloween, so make sure you mark your calendars with a nice skull and crossbones.
This family-friendly event will be co-hosted with a little help from our creepy colleagues at the Nebraska Society of Tea and Villainy, an organization devoted to cosplay and roleplay. Members dress as either famous villains from film or fiction, or develop their own villainous personas. The group often goes out and performs at local eateries, tea and coffee shops, making the day more interesting for patrons and also passing along information on costuming and fandom.
You can bring a costume (or not), interact with some of your favorite villains of all time, take some great pictures, and taste some of the spooky brews we’ll be exclusively featuring that weekend.
Our first terrifying tea will be on Saturday Oct 27th at our Tower Store location. But, if you can’t make it on Saturday, there’s no need to be scared. We’re doubling our fun by hosting a second Villain’s Tea at our Old Market location on the 28th.
Looking for more ways to have a spooktacular time? On Sunday Oct 28th, from 1-4pm, Omaha’s Old Market will turn black and orange with lots of Halloween fun for the whole family. Merchants will be giving away free treats for Trick-Or-Treaters both young and old, while fun characters stroll the cobbled streets.
We hope you’ll be our accomplices in a weekend of villainy that’s sure to be a fun time for all– the more, the scarier!
