Amidst the clank of silverware and satisfied sighs this Thanksgiving, are you already mapping out a Black Friday shopping excursion? Clear off the table and spread out the door-buster ads. As you do, take a moment to remember what the advent of this season really means. And make The Tea Smith a part of your route this Friday and/or Saturday.
Get…
The Tea Smith would like to give back this time of year. So while you may really need the caffeine kick and the warmth of a delicious cup of tea in your hands around mid-morning, you can also enjoy a bowl of homemade soup and slice of Great Harvest Bread – free! Volunteers will be serving you from 11am to 3pm – just about the time you will need to get away from the crowds, rest and regroup. You can visit either our downtown Omaha location on 1118 Howard Street or in midtown on 345 N. 78th Street. Both locations will be serving you on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Feel free to stop in both days if you’d like. We would love to see you and serve you.
Give…
Because we want to remember what this season is really about, The Tea Smith will make a donation to the Siena/Francis House for every bowl of soup served. If you wish to join in the spirit of giving, we will also deliver your donation to the Siena/Francis House.
This is one of the largest shelters in the Omaha area. The Siena/Francis House serves the needs of men, women and children offering food, clothing, shelter and hope. These gifts are especially needed during the cold winter months and the holiday season. The house serves an average of 1,100 meals a day and houses nearly 500 people each night. You can read more or make a donation here if you can’t make it in to our store this weekend. Either way, we hope you will be inspired to share what this season of giving is all about.
For now, Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Holidays! Keep us in mind for the tea lovers on your Christmas shopping list.
